This Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) App has been designed to be simple and functional. A one page layout following the Google Material Design Guidelines, provides all the information on one screen. The score is calculated dynamically by tapping directly on the various categories.

The Glasgow Coma Scale is a widely used, well verified tool for providing an objective assessment of a patient's level of consciousness. Commonly used by Paramedics, Nurses and Emergency Physicians at the bedside and when handing over patient care.
The GCS uses three scores; Eyes, Verbal and Motor, the best of which are totalled to give a sum between 3 and 15. Patients scoring 8 or less are thought to be at risk of airway compromise and this is commonly used as an indication for intubation.
